if the contact lens in use while sleeping

Jakarta, One tool that can be used to help one's vision is to use contact lenses. However, these lenses may not be used at all times, especially during sleep. What happens if my contact lenses carry over to sleep?

In general tidka lenses designed for use throughout the night, so often the doctors warn someone to remove the lens contacts before sleeping.

If the contact lens carried on while someone is sleeping, then there is the possibility to shelter the bacteria or could erode the eye that can cause infection. Infections that arise generally characterized by pain in the eye, redness or swelling in the eyelid.

Some eye infections need immediate treatment to prevent damage that can not be cured and also blindness. As quoted from the LIVESTRONG, Monday (27/09/2010) there are some eye infections that may occur if contact lenses carry over sleeping, namely:

Corneal ulcer 
Based on research from the University of Maryland Medical Center sleep with contact lenses that are still clinging to cause corneal scrape, this condition can then be turned into a corneal ulcer. This can lead to bacterial infections, fungal or parasitic. The cornea is a transparent layer that protects the eye.

Symptoms of corneal ulcers are redness, sensitivity to light, swollen eyelids, watery eyes and sometimes white blockages occur in the eyelid.

Keratitis 
Keratittis can be caused by long-term contact lens use and possible sleep carry over one or more times. This condition occurs when the parasite Acanthamoeba in contact lens grows and spreads to the cornea. The symptoms are pain in the eyes, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, eye swelling, difficulty opening the eyes and think there is something in the eye.

Papillary conjunctivitis Allergic reactions 
O If contact lenses replaced regularly or frequently used overnight, then the eye could have developed allergies to the lens. Symptoms of an allergic reaction including feelings of papillary conjunctivitis there is something in the eye, redness, swollen eyelids and sensitivity to light. If you experience these conditions you should immediately contact lenses off and more often replace contact lenses.
